Why does my cat keep throwing up

Within minutes of eating her food, she regularly throws it all back up again, virutally undigested.

It's probably gastritis - my cat has had it once or twice. What happens is that they throw up once or twice, for whatever reason, and this irritates their stomach lining to the extent that they subsequently can't keep anything down at all. The vet will probably give you some special food formulated not to irritate the cat's tum any further and some chalky medication (cat version of Milk of Magnesia, basically) which will sort the cat out in a day or two.

My cat is two and she has been doing this on and off since she was little. The Vet has told us not to worry about it as some cats are like this. We have found that it usually happens when she hasn't eaten for a while and then eats a lot.

If its only just started to happen then take her to the Vets as soon as possible.

In my experience with cats, they usually do this when they eat too quickly. I know it sounds like a pain, but try only putting a small amount of food in her dish, and when she's eaten that leave it a couple of minutes before giving her a little bit more. At least if she doesn't throw it back up again you'll know that was the cause. It is worth a visit to the vets though, just in case it is something treatable rather than just the cat being a glutton! I hope you find out what's causing it, and she's ok. :)

I know someone who had a cat that did this. They solved it by placing the food dish on top of an upturned ice cream tub. This seemed to help the cat keep it down.

One of my cats does this too sometimes, and it does definitely seem to be when she's been extra hungry and has wolfed her food. Is the food coming up whole, ie. unchewed? If so, then it most probably is just due to her eating too fast and swallowing food to quickly, and I would do as someone else has suggested and feed her only a little at a time.
