Greetings each!
Can anyone please provide any info on this song which, apparently was written by someone called Hoffman, and might have been sung by Danny Kaye or Max Bygraves?
The first verse runs as:
"Early in the morning,
When I'm still asleep:
Comes a little chirpin',
Comes a little peep:
From a tiny birdie,
With a funny name:
It's the...........................
....................................."

There appears to be no information on this song available anywhere, although I still have an excellent rendition of it on a 45rpm single by Peter Maxwell, International Pianist/Entertainer.
