I'm afraid you've lost your backlog of restore points for good.

Switch system restore back on. Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore and in 'System Restore Settings' make sure that it is turned on for all drives.

If you find it refuses to switch on, check for Malware/Spyware as I caught one a few years ago which stopped it from working.
Try to Edit your group policies.

goto>RUN> type "cmd" hit enter >type "gpedit.msc" hit enter

to the left panel expand administrative template
expand System and look for system restore point option

OR try this

* Open the Start menu

* Open the Programs menu

* Open the Accessories menu

* Open the System Tools menu

* Finally, start System Restore

* Pick the option for setting a System Restore Point and click on the Next button

* Fill in a name for the restore point so you can find it and click on the Create button

* Click on the Close button when done
