Eggheads - something else that annoys me:-

On an episode of Eggheads this week, one of the challengers was asked a question about a film from the 1970's and said, 'that was before my time' before giving some inane answer. I find comments like this infuriating as the majority of any questions on films will be before the younger contestants were born so they should at least do some research otherwise they will have no chance. Sorry to go on a bit, but this really does annoy me.

if you dont know you dont know. unfortunately though, they are directed to say something to pan out the time and to give an insight as to why they may or may not know the answer.

I can't watch this at all now. How much time is wasted isolating those not playing. Without it the show would last ten minutes.

It'd take even less time if people just answered the question, rather than saying "I know it isn't, and I know it isn't that, so....." Come on FFS!

Lol!! I've mentioned this before on here about that comment on quiz shows, it drives me crazy. A lot of things happened "before my time" but I still know about them. It's called history.

I think you're being a bit unfair osprey.

There are so many categories that contestants could be asked questions about that it is impossible to "swat up".

As Ankou rightly says, if you don't know, then you don't know!

I also agree with horselady with regards to "history".
