I am beginning to wonder if there will be a zero tolerance policy in place now and anyone who dares to instigate debate and chat about topics the AB editorial team may feel senritive about, or that may appear to be confrontational and argumentative towards AB rules and regulations would possibly leave the poster and contributors facing potential ISP banning . Without simply referring me to the Site Rules and terms and conditions of being an AB member, could you please indicate whether free speach is going to be reasonably tolerated and if anything is deemed by the editorial team to be inciteful or intimidating there will be actual communication with the poster rather than a blanket ban with no opportunity for negotiation?
a good question dot, the signs are looking to me as if free speech is being banned. I base my assumption on a thread posted by nok last night that was banned, it was not offensive, intimidating nor abusive, yet it was banned.
Ed you have been here a few days and it seems that you are failing to be impartial, which is not good when you have the power to ban at will.

With all due respect, this is a free site to which we are invited to subscribe.
There may well be site terms and conditions for us but the site owners are at liberty to run this site exactly as they wish.
If they want to jettison anyone with an 'L' in their username just because they jolly well can.
I suppose the remainder of us can always vote with our feet if we feel that the site is becoming partial and/or unfair. But I'm afraid that's about the size of it.

I agree jack, however I would like clarification as to why some people's posts have been removed even though they have not contravened Site Rules..
breaking Site Rules will result in being banned fair enough, banned for not breaking Site Rules is confusing and unprofessional.

nobody seems to realise that it is only the editorial team that have a true picture of who is logging in as what names and from where, they have the log files, everyone else just has second hand information, rumors and speculation.
Everyone was asking for more moderation a couple of weeks ago but now the site is being more actively moderated everyone complains.

I'm going to complain about all the people complaining ;0)
It's ridiculous, you have each others contact details, use them. If you don't like how this site is being run, then it's a very big WWW out there.... I agree entirely with Chuck, only the Ed and team have the full picture of what's been happening and to suggest that they can be 'influenced' or they're 'impartial' is presumably quite insulting.
The site should save up all the hot air and see if they can make an energy source out of it that increases the speed of the site.
