The measure of an individual's skill in performance is not related to the amount of public adoration they receive. The public liking something is not at all the same as it being sonsidered by any meaningful status. If it were, the X-Factor finalists would - for three months at least - be 'better' thanBob Dylan.
Paul Whitehouse's skill as an actor is just that - skill, nothing at all to do with the popularity of his show, although one does preclude the other.
Skill is one thing, popularity is another.
