Is anyone aware of where i can register for a travel visa for the U.S. which i understand you now have to have prior to travel. I believe some sites charge but others do not. Any info on this subject would be appreciated.

It's not a VISA and doesn't replace the need one one if required! It's the ESTA and is only for those who are eligible to travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Scheme (the "Green form"). It costs nothing to apply - anyone charging is a scam site.
