ahhhhhhhh my family really annoy me sometimes, basically my aunt rang me the other day asking for a dvd she lent me just before new year last year ( which may i add i returned it 2 days after borrowing it). Shes adimant that she hasnt had it back where as my partner and i are also adimnt that we did, infact i even saw her watch it on new years day! anyway to cut a long story short were now buying her a new one just to get her off our back, but god im well ****** off with having to do that! ok rant over lol

I never knew what it was like to have an aunt, my Dad's sister died in 1926 when he was 4, of meningitis and my Mum only had a brother. i have no great aunts left either, the last one passed in October 07. It's amazing really because the generations before my parents had lots of children on all sides.

Aunts are meant to be a bit dotty. If they weren't, we wouldn't have many of the great works of P G Wodehouse (which are full of crazy aunts), Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest or even Brandon Thomas's Charley's aunt.

I think that my aunts probably filled the bill. One was so homophobic that she refused to ever listen to The Archers after the programme introduced a gay couple into the plot. Another was a great cook but still managed to set fire to the toast on every morning of her adult life. Yet another tried to murder her husband. Then there was also my great aunt who was known for walking around with a chamber pot on her head . . . ;-)

have a video recording of you strangling your aunt and burn it to dvd. lend it out to friends and family but don't get anoyed if they forget to give it back. it'll prove that you're a bigger person than aunty ever was!!!

My Aunt Agatha , is an harridan of an aunt - she is always trying to marry me off to unsuitable females .

She is rumoured to eat broken glass and conduct human sacrifices by the light of the full moon .

Oh dear GossipGirl lol At least your doing the right thing by keeping the peace! She's probably lent it to someone else within the family and when they return it she'll hopefully give you an apology (and give you back the dvd you bought). Make sure you don't borrow anymore films from her :o)

it was a bingo dvd lol. we only wanted to burn a copy of it for my father in laws party and gave it straight back once we done that. whats really bothering me is that shes bitching to anyone who will listen about ho IVE lost it lol.
my aunts and uncles on my mothers side are are alright and decent people, my fathers side are all scroungers living off social who have nothing better to do than smoke and sit on there backsides and bitch all day. I now know why my father moved away from them when he was 18 now!

"Family" means different things to different people.

To some it means being in constant touch, contact and within walking distance of the home, so their presence is always felt.
Won't or can't leave them alone.

To some it means shielding them from all sorts of misdemeanours whether real or imagined.

To some never letting them develop their own lives without you popping your nose in.

To some, a family is a group of people that you have nurtured to the best of your ability, educated them and then let them develop their own philosophies, make their own mistakes and sort themselves out.

Don't worry gossipgirl, whatever you do, someone will be unhappy.
