Identity safeguard

I have Norton Security 09 installed on my PC. OK, I know what you all think of it, but I'm stuck with it for a few more months yet.
I keep getting a message asking me to go with Identity Safe. Is this a good idea, or does the fact that I would be giving all my passwords etc actually put my security more at risk?

If youre giving up Norton in a few months its not worth bothering really. Its a Norton programme I think.
