This is what we do when my wife's Corsa does this;
Place your hands flat on top of the instrument cluster with your thumbs pointing at the dials. Push firmly with your thumbs all around the edge of the glass covering the dials. Finally give the top of the instrument cluster a firm, but not to hard, thump.
Sounds daft, I know, but it works every time. Dealers want a small fortune to replace the instruments - which is a joke seeing as it is a crap design and poor manufacturing that is to blame ( and the dealers will tell you "you are the only one reporting this" - cobblers, It's well known on the various Vauxhall & Corsa forums!!)
