Insurance repudiate my claim

Hi, my car was stolen recently and the insurance company refuse to pay because there was no damage to the car in any way. is there anything i can do about it other than going to my lawyer? thx

Are you suggesting your car was stolen and then recovered and that there is no damage to your car?

if your vehicle reg. is the same as your user name which i suspect it is, it comes up as a Merc E320, the very least the insurance would pay is a set of new locks/keys, cant help thinking we are not getting the full story..

How long were you without the car- did you have to hire a replacement for a period?

I can sort of see your point, although it seems rare that there was no damage at all when it was stolen. what exactly do you want them to pay for?

Hi, sorry i already sent my answer but i cant see it anywhere. I previously wrote....I feel like a tit for telling you half the story before, what i meant to say was my car was stolen and there was no damage to the locks, ignition or doors in any way but yes there was damage to the interior with small fire damage on the back seat and the rest of the car was burnt or smoke damaged, complete write off cat C.

So are the insurers saying you must have left the car with the keys available to the thieves?

modern cars can only be stolen with keys, so unless the thieves had access or stolen your keys the insurers will argue any case of vehicle theft.
