Honest it works-we've got two cats and when they were small this is what we did. They are now 5 and 7 and very well behaved. btw what a lovely name for a cat
put the scratching post (i think a post is better than a board because cats tend to stretch at same time as sharpening) in front of where she attacking to sofa. each time she goes for the sofa, just pick her up and put her in front of the post again.
if that fails then the Orange oil that Callisto suggested is a good option.
