Hello All,
I have just accidently made an internet bill payment to someone using online banking and wondered where I stand. The person in question is an ex employee who left under bad circumstances.
Many thanks for any advice.

call the bank asap, they may be able to stop the payment
I would imagine as you have to "confirm" the payment when using Internet Banking, that this is now between you and the payee?
It might be a wise thing to consult your bank's customer services(by phone) and see what they say,but I feel they would tell you the same.
One further point, how did you come to have this ex~employees bank details stored, especially given that they left under bad circumstances?
Sorry not to be more positive.
Given that you know who you have paid it's open to you to take legal action against them should they refuse to pay it back when you ask (politely)

You are 100% entitled to it back.
If you only made it Friday, it should not be sent until Tuesday, the first working day. You could go into your internet account and cancel the payment as long as you do this before midnight.
