Waverley Castle Hotel, Melrose. Anybody been there?

My aged Mother and her friend are planning on going on a Shearings holiday, staying in the above hotel. Does anyone know of it and what it's like?

Would appreciate any reviews.

I thought they were going with David Urquart ?
both companies are much of a muchness but Shearings you have to change from their "feeder" coach to your holiday coach, Urquart you get on and stay on.
Both use older type comfortable hotels and decent trad english food.
Havent they ever been on a coach holiday before ?

Yes, they were going with Shearings but have now decided on David Urquhart to Woolacombe as it's not so far to travel
and looks to be a good itinerary. They have been with Shearings before but not DU, so it'll be interesting to see what they make of it. Thanks for your help, anyway.
