I have an email stuck in my outbox that I can't delete. It is also preventing me from sending further emails. The one I want to delete contains 170 JPEG attachments each one being about 1Mb (what was I thinking!!). When I right click on the email and select Options it says 'The MAPI Spooler has already begun transmitting the message'. Any suggestions as to how I get rid of it would be welcome.
I had the same problem as well, what I did was to disconect from the internet and then open e-mail application, go to file an work offline, then go to your outbox and delete.
If you have webmail access to that same email account you could go there and delete the email as what you're currently doing is trying to download every image, and then delete.
Webmail won't try to download the images first.
There may be somewhere in Outlook's settings where you can instruct it to only try to download mail upon instruction.
Or the above answer might work a treat. Good luck!
Dougielogan, I tried your idea but it still wouldn't let me delete it. Stevie21, I have Webmail within Ntlworld so I am not completely without email. However, I have no outbox on there! I have also searched without success, within the options under control panel, to see if I could amend the settings. Here's hoping for some more suggestions but thanks all the same.
