ive put �20 of red diesle in my car by accident can not afford to drain and refuell whats the penalty if i get caught thanks

I've done more than a 1/4million miles in a van and not stopped once to check for red diesel. I think the chances of stopping a car to check its diesel is infintestamal. If your worried just take it for a long drive.

Garages near where I live sell red diesel from a pump beside the regular pumps, so it could be done by accident.

It will not damage your engine, nor will it dye the inside of your tank etc, however a small amount of it will colour a massive amount of diesel, so even if you dilute it over and over again, traces of it will remain in the diesel
