The buds of my orchid are falling off

The buds of my orchid are all dropping off. I only got it a week ago. Does anyone know why this is happening?

if buds drop off it is usually because it is either too wet or too dry or has been at some point recently.

Don't keep orchid in full sunlight, they like natural light but not bright. Make sure it hasn't dried out, I usually water mine in the sink as the water comes straight out the bottom very quickly. I have also heard that the roots shouldn't be covered by a pot, for some reason, so mine is on a saucer and looks good. I have even kept orchids over winter time and they have buds again this year. Just don't water too much, keep on a window sill, not direct sunlight, thru the winter. Good luck !
