Yes, it begins with D. Word for to see the sights (2 letters), Denmark's capital (1 letter), centre of Holy Roman Empire (middle three letters of phrase)
I had just worked this one out but am struggling with the following clue. I have a possible answer, but if I am right i don't understand the ref. to those who work on lighting. Similarly with the cut plum clue, I don't understand the short knife. I cant make my unclued entries fit with these two so obviously I have got one or both of them wrong! Its frustrating to be so near, but so far!
Teutcher 2 - I too am struggling with these two ingredients, especially as they must both apply to the variant in the recipe - also the 3rd letter of 9 down appears ambiguous to me
teuchter2 - the lighting reference refers to an abbreviation that was unfamiliar to me. So I suggest you have a good browse through Chambers.
