My best mate's wedding is now only 2 days away. I am Best Woman and making a speech. My daughter is bridesmaid. Lil is that excited she's had to bulk-buy the Tena pads. At last, the date of September 11th will have happy connotations rather than just the obvious. I would post my speech on here for CBers approval & criticism - but it's tooooo long. Suffice to say, the bride will blush!!

DEN...LOL LOL.......once went up in my mate's 2'seater.....he was flying and I was "s.it" scared all the time.
I know what you mean Sqad - I had a flying lesson once - never again - was sick all over the instructors feet when we got out of the plane.

I'll give you a few quotes mcfluff - tell me what you think:

"It seems a long time since Steve first told Linda he wanted to "take her up the aisle" - but here they both are, none the worse for wear"

"I won't dwell too much on Linda's lmany 'accidents' over the years - suffice to say that the manufacturers of Tena Lady did offer to sponsor the reception".

"..at the age of 14 we became a little more sophisticated, and found other uses for our long-handled hairbrushes..."

"Linda & I were in grave danger of becoming Hinge & Bracket - but along came Steve & they became Minge & Racket..."

"In the true Hollywood tradition of Harry met Sally... Linda met Steve. Only I am reliably informed that Linda never has to fake it...."

So far, so good?
seems pretty good to me, i'll take it you'll have a pack of tena lady to hand round when people start to cry instead of tissues??
I agree with Mccluff.......sounds vintage salla.

Thanks guys - your judgement is respected and that's all the encouragement I need...

i think its going to be a fun wedding!

I have a hat - a fairly biggish black one like the one Andie MacDowell wears in 4 weddings & a funeral... I was just going to go for a silver-grey fascinator but Cap'n Pug said I looked as though my head was being humped by a grey squirrel.
please go for the silver one, or at least take a pic of you in it and post it on fb
Advice from Mrs sqad:

If the wedding is very formal......big black one....hat that is;-)

If the wedding is informal......silver grey fascinator.
Question Author
Cap'n Pug will refuse to stand near me if I have the humping squirrel on my head.

Even though the reception will be very informal, the wedding itself is quite formal - so I think the black one will do. I feel like a Laydee in it.... :-)
