How much is it likely to cost me to have a grab lorry come to remove about fifteen tons of topsoil and take it away for me? Is there a value to the soil or is it treated as waste?

Advertise topsoil for sale or on www.freecycle for free removal. Builders buy topsoil to landscape new developments.
and if you are in Surrey I'll have some!!!! Need about 30 tonnes!
As a general rule, a grab lorry will be cheaper than a skip, but you have got to make the pile somewhere near the road where the grab can get at it...certainly no more than 5m from the kerb and preferably closer. Topsoil is screened and sold by skip/grab companies, so mention that it is good topsoil (if it is!) when ringing round for quotes. If you live in Northants I can give you some numbers.
I have no idea really but someone quoted me £1600 to get rid of the same amount so I can't afford that so if anyone needs some in exeter drop me a line they can have it!!
