Is there any way to legally download tv shows?

After being disapointed that the uk itunes music store has yet to support tv shows for sale, i searched the web. There are a number of sites such as www.tvorg.com which advertise tv episodes and you can pay with visa. I am not sure if this is legal or not and their faq's left me more confused than ever. Please can someone advise as to the legality of such sites as I would like to download tv episodes such as alias without breaking copywrite laws... much in the same way as I can purchase region 1 dvds off the internet?? Thanks

BT have announced a solution towards this out the end of the year I think, inconjunction with their broadband products. Doesn't help yet of course!

Sky Plus (as a PVR box) does allow you to "download" onto their box/harddrive and you can then copy to a video/DVD. Not sure if that helps, but havent heard of any other fully downloadable system at present

Apart from iTunes and occasional "official" d/ls from the channels (though you probably need a US ip address), you are out of luck. Most of these "legal" d/l sites sell you P2P software (normally free and not in itself illegal).

If it's any help, Bravo are due to start the final season of Alias soon, IIRC.

hey buddy first thing which i know sites witch advertise for free download doesn't provides legal download . secondly site advertised for free download and when users visit at that site place and then the give access to download after pay doesn't provides legal download. sites witch provides download tv shows with some thing like latest buzz and watch tvshows online before download any tv shows always provides legal download. they doesn't provides free download.
