Events on in Manchester

I'm having a couple of days/nights in Manchester at end of September/beginning of October.

Are there any events, exhibitions, displays, concerts, gigs, etc. that you knowlegable peeps can tell me of ?

I usually don't find out about these things until 'after the event'.............

Thanks, for pointing out the mistakes, legallyblonde.
I usually endeavour to check my spelling before I hit the 'submit' button..........however, I plead frustration as I have been busily typing responses only for them to disappear into the ether..........and having to retype..........and then, in some cases, type again......

I am sure that any spelling mistakes of your own, legallyblonde, will have a similar explanation..........?
