they never make pets and to keep them from flying off you need to clip their wings......kinda defeats the object of keeping them.

Your neighbours will hate you if you do get one,they are very noisy birds.

You can buy peafowl, hand reared to be pets.
Don't even think about it if you have neighbours within half a mile. The noise they make is shocking. You will also need to provide a secure pen, not only to keep them out but to protect them from foxes.
