PC's Dreaming - Humans Defragging

Would this be a reasonable analogy for our current understanding of why we dream? And if so how would you analogise the mouse? motor sensory? input from the master builder maybe..

I think as many of these neuron combinations haven't been used in conscious thought the brain tries to make what sense of the 'messages' that are being made - and we dream. That would explain why the dreams that we remember all have what are familiar componants, though perhaps in unfamiliar situations. I have trouble believing that dreams mean anything, but discussing possible meanings can bring forth issues that the dreamer has.
