I'm certain the only illustrator C.S. Lewis ever used on al the Chronicles was Pauline Baynes. She died just last year at age 85, you know?

Folkhard is well known for his illustrations of Carrol's Through a Looking Glass and Alice in Wonderland,though... Iv'e a 1914 issue of Arabian Night's which he illustrated... Wonderful detail!
I'd be surprised - he was already 72 when the first one was published, and his best known work (eg the Teddy Tail of the Daily Mail comic strip) dated back to the 1920s and earlier.
