DUAL USE of TV as COMPUTER MONITOR

Is it possible to buy a 15" or 17" TV with Freeview which will connect to a PC and enable me to use the TV as a television and also a PC monitor ? I am limited for space and do not want 2 monitors on my computer desk. Prior to the digital switch last week I had a TV card in my computer but it will not now work and digital computer cards seem hard to come by at a reasonable price.
I'd appreciate any guidance from those more technically minded than me. Thanks

Freeview USB sticks can be got for about £15 which would be cheaper than a new monitor.
