Basically i'm looking for a word that means the above. The word i'm thinking of begins with 'E' i think, but i'm having such trouble placing it.

I have explained myself amazingly poorly so if anyone can help me i'll be extremily grateful, i've spent ages racking my brains here!

egotistical ? egocentric ? (both not that related to the world around you, unless in a delusional sense)
Do you have the number of letters?
Something to do with the word 'empowerment' perhaps? Although that word describes a development I would say, and you didn't mention that, so... maybe not. 'Empowered'?

No those ren't right unfortunatly. I also don't know how many letters it is as i'm not doing a crossword, just can't think of the word.

It's about 6 or 7 letters. I think the word also relates to someone feeling that they are being listened to in a sense. If i think of it i'll put it on here!
Enabled?
Something like 'potent', then?

But starting with an e.

Possibly.

Arrrgh...! Can't stop thinking about this now!
what about euphoria ?
Is it "eminence grise" it means a person who exercises power or influence without holding an official position.
How about imperialistic? or apotropaic?
Megalomania fits the description exactly, but that doesn't begin with an E either.
Oh it's GOT to be éminence grise! Notafish that's brilliant. Pleeeease tell us that was it, Verix, pleeease...

I wish i could say it was eminence grise! Most brilliant but not right.
Are we talking about something paranormal here like telekinesis (moving things around) or telepathy (transferring thoughts from one mind to another)? Lots of Es there but not in the right place I'm afraid.

Efficacy!

'Ones capacity for producing a desired result or effect; effectiveness:'

Ok i could have explained it MUCH better than i did and I really should have gotten it quicker from the route word effective. Anywho, i thankyou all for your time and answers! Sorry to annoy you all!
actually, I don't know... efficacy is usually used of things or processes, like the efficacy of a course of medical treatment (eg Lily the Pink's Medicinal Compound, most efficaceous in every case.)

For people, I wonder if 'effectiveness' mightn't be better.
