Would you like to share your favourite ever post or comment of Whiffey's? I didn't know him as well as most of you, but I really liked his acerbic wit. He once answered a question Pasta posted about fragrance, and I thought he was joking - in fact he was being serious ! He said he wore Rive Gauche, and I didn't realise that it came in the Gents' version, so I teased him. When I realised that I'd made a mistake, I apologised. He responded by saying that he preferred the ladies' version anyway, as the Gents' was too poofy ! That was one of my faves.

I had the opportunity to speak to him once...this was when he was insisting that I HAD to be leggy. I kept suggesting we speak-which we finally did after a few days of to-ing and froing. He was witty and well-spoken......and he will be remembered as one of ABs characters. Bye whiffey......

lol Pasta. He thought I was Knobby when I first came on. Easy mistake to make. :-)
Yeh...I bet you make a convincing Arsenal fan...while I do a pretty good imitation of a rather loud Scotsman (well.......whiff always said one needed to hold the phone away from one's ears.....lol )
He had a lovely voice....
One of my strongest memories of Whiffey was him constantly trying to get PotterMinor to give up the name so he could have it :-)
His allergy to anyone north of the Watford Gap :-)
I thought he was potterminor daffy?

I liked the way he used to threaten to report JJ for her rude threads.
This is a nice thread No!
Can anyone download John Williams Cavatina for me from You Tube please? Theres a pic of a large green hill. I downloaded it for Whiffey once & he enjoyed it! xxx
You lot are lovely.
I have a picture of Whiffeys bike!
I would love a picture of the man Himself.
That picture...wasn't there a rude picture next to it in the site where he uploaded it (not his, it just so happened to be beside his picture)?

Tall, salt and pepper hair and kind eyes.
Question Author
I laughed so much once when he posted on one of Leg's threads. He said he was going to park himself on a comfortable and absorbant seat for "an hilarious and extended evening" ....
lmao No Mercy...I remember that one too. He had a fabulous way with words that would crack me up.
He will be badly missed.

RIP Whiffs xx

(I'm trying to figure out how many gramamtical errors and spelling mistakes he will be counting!)
Tall? Lakitu, you must be wee!

When I close my eyes, I can picture him in the kitchen. I am scared of losing that. We have so few photos.

You won't lose it Laura. My Dad died last year and I have all the pictures of him imprinted in my brain. Like your Dad he was a beautiful person and I was proud to be his daughter. I think the memories get stronger because your brain won't let you forget xxx
LOL, I am wee! He was tall to me x
I only have one photo of my dad and I can still remember every line on his face and the way his face crinkled and it's been over 4 years since he died.

I'm sure you'll never forget him.

I'd get some copies of your photos made as with the constant touching they soon get marked.

Take care
Hee , bless him , I remember his avatar piccy on my friends list in the old AB when we could send mesages . His avatar was simply a toilet :-)
