MM Links Solutions September 2009 [Week 3]

We are now into the third week in the reign of Lady Jill (aka tearinghair) and the launch went perfectly ~ although the number of entrants was slightly down. I put this down to possible problems with the new-look AnswerBank. The predictions you were looking for were ~ under the theme of

I have been working in the garden today and find myself delayed ~ Apologies!

This week it was a game of two halves. The first 18 entrants were scoring hand over fist (unless your name begins with the letter “S”) but thereafter the points virtually dried up!

Although Christiana was first to enter and picked up TWO POINTS for the difficult ORGAN LOFT, most of the early birds went for DAWN CHORUS! First was lysander for TWO POINTS, but she was followed by cliffyg, Grenmus and centrino with DAWN CHORUS and RECORD BREAKER for FOUR POINTS each.

There was still time for fordward, x-ray and pauline to pick up TWO POINTS for Dawn Chorus before rogerr (welcome back), Elspeth, annie49 and miss meg to pick up One Point for a little late Dawn Chorus! Noteworthy was grannydi with a double hit, but the star of the round was wickedtongue with the very last hit CONCERT PARTY with two of the earlier hits to score a mighty FOUR POINTS and so qualifyfor the coveted title of HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK!

Among the remaining 22 entrants, only four managed to trouble the Mystic Abacus!
