Tummy Injections

I have to self inject Clexane enoxaparin sodium into my stomach in the morning and am a little concerned, as on reading the enclosed info leaflet it states in the side effects columm `If you have a machanical heart valve (which I just happen to have) treatment with Clexane might not be sufficient to prevent blood clots, and you might develop a clot on the heart valve. So as it`s at 8 o`clock in the a/m that I have to do it this may be farewell to all my friends in A/B. Hoping to write to you all very soon.

Read the "descructions" again.....I bet the contra-indication has something to do with subacute bacterial endocarditis......!!
I hope you are not winding us up.....LOL

Morning Sqad, Thanks for your reply, I am going for a colonoscopy on Thursday, and as I have been on Warfarin since 1973 due to the fact I do have a mechanical valve, (a rubber ball in a cage) I have to self inject for a few days, and I have type 2 Diebetes also a Pacemaker. Will get back to you when it`s over.... hopefully.
I, for one, am very glad we have sqad among our number - so far I've not needed to call on his expertise but when you find something your GP has neglected to tell you [ and should have done] it's great to have someone so knowledgeble AND helpful around to quieten the butterflies.... so thanks, sqad and Good Luck carlton23
