How healthy are you?

We are constantly being told to eat 5 portions of fruit and veg, drink 8 glasses of water and excercise daily. Men should have no more than 21 units of alcohol weekly, and women should not exceed 14 units. Eat 3 portions of oily fish per week.... yada yada yada. To you think we should follow these guidelines religiously, or just listen to what our body is telling us, and maintain a healthy BMI?

well I am allergic to fish so there is my oily fish out of the window, I can only eat certain veg as I have reflux and IBS and a lot of foods aggravate it like nobodies business, I dont smoke, nor do I drink alcohol, I exercise daily 1.5 hours daily, I dont drink 8 glasses of water, I drink when I am thirsty and could not live without a lemon curd tart occasionally
I take no notice of the gov guidlines because they contradict themselves, I listen to my body. I am not a stick insect but I am fit and active.
