Things that annoy you
It's illegal to let your dog foul a public area, so why is it evidently o.k to let over privileged middle class girls riding horses on the road to slow traffic, apparently ignorant (and so with no intention of cleaning up) of the wake of manure they leave behind for motorcyclists to skid on and pedestrians to trip over.

But as a motorcyclist it can be a problem.
Surely it is easy to hang a bag around their backside to catch it?
People who don't clear up after their dog should have their faces scraped off with a rusty spoon - interestingly it tends to be chavs who don't clean up after their staffs, pretty much all other dog owners (certainly where I walk my dog) do clear up after their dogs.
One of the things that annoys me the most is seeing people holding their knife like a pen.

It is not an offence for a horse rider to leave the animal’s mess in the road. This applies whether the rider is an “over privileged middle class girl” apparently deliberately slowing the traffic (presumably because her horse cannot quite attain the national speed limit) or, as many riders are, a person with no particular advantages who has chosen to use some of their hard earned cash to pursue their hobby of horse riding.
Why it should be OK for horses to foul public areas but not OK for dogs to do so is a little mysterious (particularly in view of the relevant quantities involved). It could be that the laws to combat dog fouling are usually bye-laws introduced by local authorities to tackle a particular nuisance raised by residents. Additionally, although I am not an expert on horse sh1t (or any other kind for that matter, except the kind that some people suggest I spout from time to time), I believe DixieGal is correct when she says that dog's mess is far more toxic.
Where I live there are many stables round and about and a number of pavements beside dual carriageways which riders use to get to and from woods and heathland. There is often horse mess on these pavements but it is no big deal. It is easy to spot and soon washes away when it rains.
Lots of people round here collect the stuff in buckets and take it home. I believe they put it on their rhubarb, but I prefer custard on mine.

Dog mess is full of bacteria, whereas horse dung is really just recycled grass, which won't cause any health problems as dog mess does.
As a dog owner (who always picks up after her dogs) one thing that annoys me is the lack of bins to put the poo in! We've contacted the council several times about it and they just keep saying they'll "get on to it". Meanwhile most dog owners are just leaving it on the footpath as they have nowhere to dispose of it

Our friend has a horse, she's neither rich nor middle class. The horse was rescued as its previous 'owner' decided to leave it abandoned in a field.
I'm sure those who go riding do it for slightly more enjoyable reasons than to simply and wilfully slow traffic down...buying a pushbike and riding two abreast would be far simpler and cheaper if thats all they wanted to do.
Most horses are riden at the side of the road, if you're riding a motorbike correctly you should be taking a dominent position and riding in the centre of your lane. You can also generally see horse muck and shouldn't be riding so fast that you can't take avoiding action. Oil spills from trucks on the other hand are a far greater danger to bikes as is well documented.
Also as chazza says dog mess is full or bacteria and is harmful, horse muck on the other hand is basically decomposing grass.
