Drugs - Police Not Interested........
5 Answers
Evening folks - I would be grateful for any opinions on this - in our neighbourhood we have a woman selling drugs to teenagers. They come and go in cars all times of the night. Sometimes on foot. They do not park directly outside her property, for obvious reasons but they are noisy and other residents know exactly what is going on. I have seen bags of white powder being exchanged along with money. This has been going on for at least 3 months (that we know of). I don't actually live down her road, but opposite. It has been reported to the Police by various neighbours living near the woman. All they say is keep note of vehicle numbers and what times they come and go.
She did get a warning but blatently carries on. On Saturday night the lads that were in her bunglow came out and gatecrashed a party in the same road - the police were called and came and searched the lads but nothing was found, and they were nowhere near her property, so obviously could not be linked with her.
The majority of residents in the road are elderly and its comparatively a quiet no through road.
Not sure what the next step should be.....

My experience of the police is that they go after the little things when they should be persuing cases like that lady. Its a worrying situation and Im sure its going on in most areas nowadays. These people tend to know how far they can push things with the police and what cant be done to them.
Evening Peri - yes, your right - they could catch her red handed - in actual fact there are six teenagers in her bungalow at this moment - we think she gets the drugs from elsewhere and packages them in the little plastic bags and these lads sell them on. The police seem more intent on giving tickets to cars parked with 2wheels on the pavement in this area.
It may well be they are aware of her but have been warned of by the drugs squad, who may be after the person who is supplying the woman.
This happened to me before we moved here - a couple of lads were dealing and one of the neighbours actually caught it on camera not to use in court but just to show the police what was happening and although they came a few times aroound the road they didn't approach the woman.
I can't remember everything that happened but another neighbour knew a local policeman who said they had been told to virtually ignore them as the drug squad had them as a target and they had priority, not sure if that is/was true but some 4 years later the 2 lads, and their dealer and another dealer have been charged.
