The insert key is for switching to overtype mode - the text-eating mode - and back again to how we would normally want it. It's also good for driving people crazy, when they press it accidentally, which I know from my own experience....
My suggestion is you post this whole page (your question and our dialogue) in Technology, where there are ABers who really do know their stuff and who will be able to guide you step by step. Just go to the Technology topic and say would they have a look at the question you posted here. Copy and paste this address (the URL for this page that the we are on right now) so they'll find your question easily:

Good luck!

Thanks swedeheart I got it sorted now, must have had an accident with the insert key, had a practice in Microsoft Word, like if you dont like what you have put down you place the cursor and delete as you type, saves highlight and delete I suppose, but I still have gaps between letters as I type in 125% but not in 100%and don't know how the post will turn out until it is submitted, aah gone back to 100%, now OK got two pairs of specks on though LOL Tez
