The ant has pwoerful mandibles like pincers. You place it so one pincer is either side of the wound then let it bite. This draws the skin of the wound together like stitches. It won't let go, the pincers lock into place. The body is twisted off leaving the large head behind. This can be left in place for days until the wound...
