The opossum gives birth to up to twenty (sometimes more) babies twelve to thirteen DAYS after mating! They are weaned after about eighty days. The males reach maturity in eight months and the female in six months. (SHORTEST PREGNANCY, LONG (in comparison) NURSING PERIOD).
Oran utans have a pregnancy length similar to humans (eight days less than nine months). They nurse their young for four years. I think the babies are holding onto their mothers (and climbing all over them) practically as soon as they are born. (LONG PREGNANCY, OFFSPRING REQUIRE NURSING FOR A LONGER PERIOD, PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS HUMANS).
Some Hyena species give birth after four months gestation (pregnancy). The pups are fully formed and active immediately! (QUITE LONG PREGNANCY, FULLY DEVELOPED AT BIRTH).
