A similar thread was started in film&Tv.  Many people have added their tributes.  I agree - it is a sad loss.

Richard Whitelet, unliked many, never  played up to the cameras, never showed of.  He was a likeable guy. Usually when a TV presenter dies it doesn't usuallt effect me but Richards sudden passing has got to me.
