I am 7 days off my due date (first pregnancy) age 35, and have loose skin at the very bottom of the bump. The stretch marks I have are terrible, but I know they will eventually fade. But I am really not happy about this loose bit of skin at the bottom of the bump, is it normal, and will it go back afterwards?

nellypope, it's a bit of a who-knows scenario I'm afraid! a lot depends on your skin type. I had a huge baby bump with a soft bit below.. and that bit did go!

just enjoy the peace and quiet for now, it won't last! once baby arrives look after yourself, eat well and exercise gently but only once you're given the all clear from the midwife.

best of luck :o)
On my first three pregnancies everything went back as it should but on my fourth I had twins and I think that the ping has finally gone in my skin. However, once you have had your baby you will be so besotted that you wont really care about the state of your stomach. Good luck
