OMG shit day

Setting up shop this week. Done heavy lifting and lots of physical activity which I'm not used to and its worn me out.

Managers bloody condescending, I don't think any of the girls my age really like me and one of them has been bossing me about all day and we got bag searched at the end of the day like some sort of thief!!

karma if it is a new store then it is always policy to do regular bag searches during the initial merchandising weeks as there are alot of staff probably from other stores, other concessions,. contractors etc, this is when noone knows anyone else and so the level of security and loss prevention will be at it's height. expect searches every day, also, many of the people you have met today may be new too and all will have their own expectations and concerns, stress less, pay attention to your instructions, work hard now and settle in when the store opens, everyone will be excited and anticipate a great opneing day, just go with it.

Well its my first day in that store prior to opening but I've had two weeks training in another store.

Need to toughen up and stand up for myself and not allow myself to be bossed around and looked down upon!

Hate these bag searches just feels like the managers are looking down on you and that they enjoy the feeling of power over you. Hate it!

Out of the frying pan into the fire at the moment. Still don't regret leaving my job just want to find something that will be enjoyable though with nice people. I don't know if this is it!

Thanks all. I should really get an early night just feel overtired. Worked 11am-8 and tomorrow working 7am-4 for rest of week
