car malfunction...?

i tried to start my car and nothing happened except all the door locks went up an down a few times and the interior lights flashed...

i thought the battery might be dead, because the light was on on the dashboard...but then nothing would work at all would it?
could it just be nearly drained...??
it is only about a year old...
any ideas??

yes, your battery is dead but you may be able to revive it as it's not too old.
