are they just milking the islamic taboo to draw in that audience?
being gay is hardly tv drama these days is it.

I always applaud the soaps for (usually) addressing difficult social issues with tact and realism but ...

I find Christian a totally stereotypical gay man, all testosterone and muscles, moody stares and hoarse whispers, for heaven's sake, one of the great features about gay men is thier sense of humour and in-built albility to have a good time - doubtless an antidote to the neanderthal society they are forced to inhabit.

the double whanny of being a gay Muslim is covering a few bases - if i could choose between toothy miserable pumped Christian and that Asian goddess that lad is engaged to, i wouldn;t have to thinkf reo too long - but that's just me being flippant (and heterosexual!)

I think it's got a few more episodes in it yet ... sigh.
