How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count The Ways...
12 Answers
Loggy asked me in a previous thread what I meant by loving someone ("sort-of"). What I meant in that particular instant is that I love a guy, but am not "in love" with him. There is a difference, and not so subtle.
How do you love your 'other half' (for want of a better expression, cos I hate that particular one). And why - in that, what is it about him/her in particular that makes them different from anyone else, and makes you love them?
Stupid question - but I just want Logic to stay with us xxx

We don't have passionate love but very affectionate love. More him than me.
He makes me feel safe and secure and I can truly be myself with him. I find myself acting in a way with him that I wouldn't have dreamt of with my ex's. We respect each other, trust each other and spend a lot of time laughing.

it's hard to try and explain. Ive had this discussion with people before and I think you either just 'know' you're with the right person ; and if you don't know it you're probably not with the one.
I could write pages on here about how my husband is my best friend and how we can still reduce each other to helpless giggles after 16 years together, or the fact I still fancy the pants off him; or a thousand other little things - but none of it would come close to really explaining how I feel about him.
We're just us, and it works, and I hope it never changes.

Been married for 38 years and married on a whim!! He is the love of my life, exasperating, stubborn and opinionated (just like me!!), we have been through all sorts of trauma, good and bad times. We are no Derby and Joan but we have a bond that noone could break and noone could ever compare with him. . And yes I still fancy him like crazy!!! I cannot ever imagine a relationship with anyone else - well perhaps Daniel Craig.....................
