Ok here's my predictions: 1. The G7 leaders and Russia will announce unprecedented amounts of Aid to the poorest African nations but the UK and US will still get all the criticism for "still not doing enough" and 2. The pope will not approve the use of contraception even though it is killing thousands of his followers every month.

Opinions please.

The pope was supposed to be at the G8 summit, but pulled out at the last minute.

thats what he tells everyone else to do. I think the Catholic church has a lot to answer for and they should be made to foot the bill for all the food. Medicine and hospital bills, and childrens homes for all the abondon kids. And all the Aids treatment. Maybe then they might change their attitude.

eupraxia, nobody holds a gun to your head and makes you adhere to Catholocism.
I think the church is totally wrong with its attitude to lots of things but "foot the bill" ?
