Yes this week in Brighton, we have seen the usual Lefty's actions when they know they are on a loser, attempting to walk out of an interview, insults, bullying, and generally made to make themselves look pretty silly. just like the responses I have come to expect from the Lefties on this site, when I rub them up the wrong way.

Tom Woodley ripping up the Sun newspaper was a pathetic gesture from a man in his position, it made me feel embarrassed for him.

Embarrassed for Tom Woodley? You are just too sensitive. Mr Woodley is from Liverpool, a city which has despised the Sun since the lies it printed about the Hillsborough disaster.

The Tories have of course all been to Eton, so naturally they have more breeding and will be very sympathetic to the concerns of commoners like ourselves. Won't they?

Many of them went to the same schools and universities as the Conservative lot did, so they must have equal 'breeding' as you put it.

If you were a millionaire would you like to see your wealth eroded by government policies that mainly went to the down and outs? Obviously not! Therefore if the Tory front bench are amongst the privileged few going to the best schools, buying property in the best neighbourhoods, getting your kids into fee paying schools and worrying about inheritance tax for the wealthy you can hardly see them changing the colour of their cloth.

What the Tories really believe in is what Margaret Thatcher called the 'trickle down effect' where the wealthy out of the goodness of their heart give the poorer in society some titbits. It never worked then and will never work in future.

OK some Labour ministers act like they are amongst the privileged few, especially the likes of Blair but you have to look at the heart of any party.

So Mr Coulson i.e former editior of the Sun's sister paper (News of the World) and his appointment to the Tory party as a senior aide have nothing to do with the Sun's decision to back the Tories?

The tories will win, mind you, probably by a landslide - I'd love to shove David Cameron's bike somewhere where the sun doesn't shine with the schooling elite policies that they are interested in introducing!

As I recall "Trickle-down" entailed giving tax breaks to the richest because they would spend that money in the British economy and not buy big German cars, go on exotic foreign holidays or secrete the money in off-shore tax havens.

Yes. And instead of allowing such people to keep their own money to spend as they wish, we now see those people taxed to the hilt and the funds given to the feckless and workshy so that they can buy Jeeps, Carlsberg and Benson & Hedges.

Just different people benefiting from the government’s largesse with other people’s money.

Since Mrs T has been mentioned, she also said that socialism usually failed because eventually you run out of other people’s money to spend. I think she may have been right.

taxed to the hilt? The standard rate is, what, 22%; the higher rate is 40% and there's a new top rate of 50%. If your hilt is halfway down your sword you won't get much action out of it.... but don't worry, Cameron will lower the rate for all Old Etonians, new judges etc. Don't expect him to touch the rate for the lower paid, though.
