Star Wars literary series?
6 Answers
Ok, I went on a Stars Wars website the other day for my little brother, to find out a characters name. On this site it not only showed the well known charcters of Anakin, Han Solo etc, but also showed many characters not in the films, or from the stories after what film goers know as Return of the Jedi, the last star wars film. This makes me feel that the series must have been a book series beforehand. Is this true? If so does anyone know where I can get the books, and I don't mean the ones consequently based on the films?

There are however many offshoots from the films including books, video games and graphic novels that are set in the Star Wars universe. If you search for "Star Wars" on Amazon.co.uk you will be amazed!
I agree with LeMarchand. Some characters that have featured in the novels have actually turned up in Lucas Arts video games so they are all part of the same universe.
The first novels to receive authorisation by Lucas were the ones by Timothy Zahn, followed by others by, is it, Kevin Anderson (someone Anderson anyway).
Which characters in particular were you asking about?
