Mother and baby packs

Is the Boots Mother and Baby pack offer just a cynical ruse to get me into the shop? My boys are nearly 2 months old and still every store I go in tell me they are out of stock and don't know when they are getting more in. I know it's a freebie but even so....

Not necessarily cynical (cos after all, you do get free stuff), but of course they want you to go into the shop, and it's great PR etc etc.  Did you get your Bounty pack?

But do I ever get my free stuff? I have been in to 3 different stores several times to buy baby stuff and each time I ask there is nothing available. We did get a pack whilst in hospital, I am assuming that is the Bounty pack. In fact we got 2 as we have twins. Now everyone's going to think I'm really tight because I can't get my freebie....

I had to go to 3 different shops in three different areas of the country (whilst out and about on the train anyway) to get my bounty progress pack (the weaning age one) for my son, who was then too old for some of the samples.I`m not complaining tho` as there is some really good stuff and vouchers in the packs, well worth waiting for.

Hi Glosspswift - If it were me, I would speak to a Manager at Boots the Chemist & request the 'freebies' you have been promised. Ask him/her to take your details & for them to give you a call when they 'are' in stock, ready for your collection.....

Or, as IAP has said, e-mail a complaint to their Customer service department. Good luck.

Hey I love a freebie - and these packs are pretty good - as are the bounty ones (www.bounty.com) The toddler one in this was brilliant - meals, puddings, books, beakers - bells whistles and all!!  Bringing up kids is expensive, so even a days' food for them is a great help.

I never got a hospital one : ( - I was in and out so god darn quick, they never had the chance to give me one!! 

Like everyone says - complain - you are a busy Mom with 2 boys and dont have the time to keep popping in on the off chance blah blah.

Thanks everyone for replying. I actually mailed Boots just before I posted this question and today I got a reply saying that the matter requires further investigation and they will contact me when they hear from the relevant dept - of course I'll keep you all informed. This is the first post i've made to the 'parenting' category and it's good to see how supportive everyone is, in other categories I would have got loads of replies about how cheap I am chasing and moaning about a freebie, but with twin 2 month olds (and a 2 year old) we need freebies! I'm also quite flattered that I have been taken for a busy Mom - I am, in fact, a busy Dad! I must be one of those 'modern' men...

An update - I never did get my packbut I did get a reply email asking forour Advantage card number and they put 500 points on it. Worth bearing inmind...
