It uses Nasa's satellites and is similar if not better than google's version. Again, you can only access North America and of course its not in real-time but you can have hours of fun looking for things like the golden gate bridge, the hollywood sign etc

I have to admit, I'm blown away by this thing. It's just effing amazing. It's not just N.A. oligopoly, it's the whole world. Admittedly some areas are far more detailed than others but it'll only get better. Some of the ones that you don't expect to be great, Moscow, Bejing etc.. are fantastic. I'm sure in the not-to-distant future we'll have a "weather layer" in which images from weather satellites can be fairly regularly updated.
