Questions closed to Answers

When does this happen and how?

There are three different answers given for 1a) in this thread ....... why is it closed?

I have come across several "closed" questions recently all since AB was "upgraded".
I don't think most of them are closed by their posters,I think it is a fault in the new AB system.
If you want to post an answer to this question,I should try posting a new question with the answer in it,and head the new question FAO Chrischicken.

The poster can close them when they have the answer they want....

They can also close them when an argument breaks out.....That can be annoying sometimes.

ummmm - how do you close your own question, then? Is there an option only available to the questionner?

Or as in my case when accessing site from an iPhone you can touch the 'close this thread' by mistake very easily
