i'm a single mother of one 2 year old and most of my annual leave at work has been used up looking after her on the days her dad usually would, in order for him to have his holidays (im not moaning about that)hence i have very little annual leave left to take to take me until next april. Does anyone know if there is a law that states i can have unpaid leave as i am a parent to an under 5 yr old? thanks

I think you want to know if you can take this unpaid leave on specific days, don't you?
Sorry that's not how it works. Unpaid leave is there for parents of children under 5 for EMERGENCIES only

I think you may be confusing unapid leave with Parental Leave, which is completely different

Not on a regular basis you wont be able to - not unless your employer agrees. What you need to do is to make alternate child care arrangements to cover the days when you are working and your husband is indisposed.
