Cow shite on the road causing an acciden! can you claim against the farmer? our local are last week, Trails of shite from a farm can be seen for all to trace, into the farmers yard, signs up to the effect that the road surface was slippery, why does the law allow this "accident waiting to happen" practice keep happening.

If you live in the countryside you can reasonably expect to find cow muck on the roads near farms. You should drive more carefully so as to avoid an accident.

I doubt any claim against the farmer for an accident would be successful due to the reasons above.

All part of country life. It'll wash next rainfall and nourish surrounding flora & fauna. Shovel it up for your garden (excellent manure) or dry the cow-pats for your fire. You can even plaster walls with it!
Reasonably expect is the measure that the law would apply.
